Not bad for $832 usd. I really like the range . 21miles but in a realistic world its more like 17 to 18mile but still not bad.

I hope they fixed their drop-out issues once and didn't just slap the same bad GT remote in this without the LCD.

I'm a little surprised at the weight being 7.3kg.

The Bamboo GT is listed at 7.9kg.

I figured they'd try to shave more than half a kilo off to make it more a commuter board that's easy to chuck under your arm and bring on the bus or train.

Still, I'll reserve judgment until I have a play with one in person, the deck looks pretty compact and easy to carry.

Obviously the range seems excellent though, so the battery weight is always going to be a trade off.

Aye, a friend of mine in the states and his buddy both crashed and burned at the weekend when potential connection issues on their Bamboo GTs caused a wipeout when out riding together. I'll keep that to another thread though. Let's keep this one about the new board.

why a GT remote without a LCD screen, is this so much more expensive to make?

yea, if it is the same weight and range, i'd rather buy another bamboo with the twin motors AND allows wheel options even if it is $300 more

Even if it's not a huge difference in price at cost, any company with a selection of products needs a way to differentiate their top of the line range from the entry or mid level range.

It makes sense to have a more advanced remote for the premium GT boards.

It's not the end of the world not having the screen, the pre-GT remotes without a screen work grand. Less distracting in one sense as you're less tempted to be check the real time speed etc.

Plus if it helps them get the cost down for the One, then that sounds fair to me.

The only thing I wish I had on my pre-GT remote is an accurate battery indicator. Perhaps they can give more granular battery feedback using a more advanced LED signal than the old remotes.

They must of fix the site because it was $832 usd. $1099 to me is to much for a uni motor.

It still shows $832. So if its a mistake do I buy it at $832?

Nah thr 832 was from the aus site. Prob has to do with currency conversion

I would agree but it says 1099 Aus then it changes and say 832 usd. It will let me buy it at 832usd.

The board cost 1099 AUD in Australia, 1099 USD is america and 1099 EUR in germany

Evolve don't know how to convert currency... *facepalm*

    1099 Australian Dollar equals
    832.71 US Dollar

Keeping the same $1099 price across dif currencies is very strange i think

Apart from New Zealand, where its 1199. I guess shipping is added to the bottom line to keep profit the same on each unit.

I like the board for what it is, and it would be the model I would buy if it had been available when I bought my Bamboo GT, but I was hoping for a smaller lighter commuter board. It appears to be more or less a bamboo GT with a single motor and different deck.

I am wondering if it is made solely for the price point to get in new customers. Shame it didn't brake to a stop in the video. It seems to be a rehash of the gen2 board, I guess with a bit more range maybe? Now that I am used to braking and accelerating straight I don't think I would ever go back to single drive. Could you change the deck and use ATs? Or are the trucks narrower? Anyone know what motor it is? Questions!
