One motor much warmer than the other

    Hi guys

I'm wondering if any of you know what this might be. After riding for a while, and especially after going uphill, one of my motors is much warmer than the other. Always the same one. Is this likely a signal that there is something wrong with it? Is there anything I can do to diagnose that?

    Cheers

You've already diagnosed it unfortunately. If one is hotter than the other consistently you've got an issue. Likely loose can or unwound. If your board is still under warranty, report it, if not it'll eventually die and you can replace it.

Well I had the same problem, one motor hot plus power drops especially when riding uphill.
Sent the board to evolve and they said one belt was too tight (it was just the way I got it when I bought the board, I did not mess with anything)
and they also say that the pressure in tires was too low (also just how I got it from the store).
They claim that those two things combined are the reason the motor got too hot, so you might wanna have a look look how tight yout belts are and also the air pressure if you are on AT setup.
They also changed the motor controller. The board was only few weeks old when I had to send it in, so I would think they did a poor job adjusting it properly at the factory or whatever.
I did not get the board back yet, will report how it performs when I do.I hope the motors were not the problem as they did nothing with the motors at the repair shop as far as I know.

I would have a look at the belts tension and the air pressure if I were you as evolve says it migjt be the reason .

    Cheers
