How do you get others into the hobby?

When I'm out on my board I get asked about it all the time. Im in Springfield, MO. USA. There may be a boosted board running around town somewhere but other than that I'm pretty much the only one here. What have you found to be the best way to get others interested enough to purchase and join in on the fun? Most people are very interested until they find out the price. I have tried telling everyone I can that I have thought would be interested. Even reached out to a local longboard club but no luck. Possibly got a local bike shop to get a couple Evolve boards to sell. Hopefully that helps some. Ive been to skate shops as well. I need some advice. Ive thought about making small business cards to hand out while riding. Id like to start a local riding group.

 

i'm facing the same problem like you, in my country so far i manage to gather only 3 peoples only.. i'm the only person using evolve the remaining people using koowheel.. even my local skateshop and longboard shop surprise when they know the price.. hahahah
