What software or app do you guys use to edit your vids?

Would be really interested to get some tips and tricks, whether it's Adobe centric, Mac focussed or even Windows.

What valuable tit bits and features have you learned while making your skate videos?

Really? I'll have to have a another play with iPhone. I find it little small on the phone, all the controls seem a bit hidden away.

Where do you source and how do you add your own music on the phone? I've been streaming and using Spotify for so long and can't remember the last time I opened an actual mp3.

ha ha yeah thats all I have ever used, quite easy when you know where all the options are hidden. cute cut for whats missing.

Music wise whatever i have on my phone, using itunes to transfer from pc. If I dont have an mps3 version of what I want to use then I just use an online mp3 youtube download and converter, then just bung on the phone.:innocent: easy

Yeah, I just upgraded to the iPhone 7 anyway, so would be great to make use of the better camera and get to grips with editing quickly on the move so will definitely look into it.

I use GoPro or imovie.. GoPro quick is a super quick way of pulling together short clips of 1 minute or less

I use Gopro Studio, Pinnacle and Filmora... easiest to use (my opinion)

I'm guessing the GoPro one is some feature you can sign up to if you have a GoPro camera? Is it available to non-GoPro users?

Pros/cons to each? Did you buy the latest versions of the Pinnacle and Filmora?

Doesn't look too bad, I'm locked into iOS though unfortunately. Looks worth a shot if your on Android though :)

lol, no worries. It's been so long since I 'downloaded' anything, figured, just curious.

I've signed up to the student version of Adobe CC for the price of a few beers a month anyway as I do like to use their software regulary, and it's nice to be able to have the latest and greatest, safely, direct from the source without having to worry about malware.

I do think piracy is hugely a factor of accessibility, convenience and price issues combined. You begin to eliminate some or all of them and you get people like me who will pay for Amazon and Netflix just because it's so darn easy, good value, and you feel good supporting the artists, when you can afford it.

Above the student price though, Adobe does get a little out of hand, especially over the long term where business might have bought licences once every 5 years, but anyway, that's another discussion.

Back to video editing software! I'll definitely be experimenting over the next few weeks with some of the recommendations :)

Sony Vegas. It's not free, but you can use Windows Movie Maker for free, and it's very good.

Anyone used anything like ReelSteady before to stabilise their board vids?

Makes an amazing difference on this drone vid, looks like it's from a movie!
