I'm waiting on the next batch for my 2-1. One of the hugest reasons I spent the dough for this board (among the many others) was the removal of what I consider the completely useless and very dangerous reverse function. My very peppy Skatebolt tried to kill me just yesterday. ugh. There is no reason, whatsoever for any of these boards to have reverse in my opinion. Sounds like its sorted now and good vibes are flowing again. So stoked, cant wait.

Anyone know if the claimed shipping 9/8 still on par?

I'm waiting on my gtx 2-1 as well. They are still waiting for the second batch to arrive. I'll post back as soon as I hear something. I believe I am somewhere in the middle of the preorders. Anyone else waiting on the second batch?

I know, same here! I wonder how many orders they are working through? I know they test ride them all before they ship them, shouldn't take too long. ( unless we are order # 600,000)

Oh, nice. Good on ya. I recall on the order seeing a button approving that as a method to do that. I got nothing nowhere. Feels like I'm back in highschool being the only one not invited to the party... :-(

You will probably still get yours before I get mine. I'm in Springfield, MO. Tracking shows a Thursday delivery. Will probably only take a day to ship yours to you.

It says shipping in two days of order, add just came out yesterday so I'm just being a *****. But you know that thing where you want something soooooo bad... you've waited sooooooo long.... and its soooooo close.... its enough to drive ya a bit crazy. :) Thanks for consoling me Deco. That's good news! I hope I can get a crew together. There's only one other forum member that lives here and I can't get ahold of them. Hopefully some people see mine and order one. I need some cruising buddies!

Got my GTX and its absolutely amazing. Rode 15mi today. Only problem is the 97mm wheels are already coming apart after the first ride. I love the way they look and ride. Not sure if I got a couple bad ones or what.

That's odd. I've got about 20 miles on my 97;s and they're still perfect, and I have some really crappy streets. Super grippy and smooth but I have not really hammered on them because I'm sold on the fat tires. My area is full on hodge podge, mix of old and new hoods, can go from potholes that can hide a fiat to the sickest butter anywhere... so the big wheels are frigging perfect at high pressure. Love'n it.

My ONLY complaint about this amazing board is that in retrospect being 240lbs, I should have got the carbon. I love old school flex, but this is crazy flex. I feel like I'm going to bounce off the thing like a trampolene. haha.. I'm going to play around with decks, maybe even stiffening rail or something...

A bit overpriced I think, but for a plug n play no doubt this sucker performs, all that's advertised. Love it. Oh, and PS Evolve... THANK YOU for listening to your people and ELIMINATING reverse. Its a stupid gimmick that can do only harm, I for one feel way more confident without it..

The flex is crazy. I'm about 180 and I love the way it feels. It looks flexed when I or someone else is on it which I think looks odd. Rides great though. I love everything about it. Evolve immediately sent out two replacement wheels. I tried the AT wheels and actually didn't like them much. I went down a hard packed gravel bike trail and it was ruff and squirrelly. Also battery life was really bad. I imagine airing down the tires would help the ride but I can't imagine giving up any more battery life.

Hey there, the chipping wheels seem to be happening quite a bit actually, it is the same situation as with the Evolve 83mm wheels. Their Supplier is from a factory in china that produce mass quantity of wheels for very little cost, you can buy the same ones with very similar prints even from online distributors for about $5 per set on orders of 150. The issue seems to be with the quality and setting of the urethane they use, as it does not set/cure properly as they try to produce them quickly. It is the same story with their new 97mm wheels. They basically wanted to jump on the bandwagon of people wanting 97mm wheel size, and rather than partner up with a reputable company like ABEC, they went the cheap option. Many riders in our group of 400 members have had the exact same issue, some after just a few rides on normal street conditions or even concrete carparks. Evolve have been swapping over 1x wheel for those affected under 'good will' but you still have to buy a set of 4 to replace, as they don't sell then individually. For the price, we suggest to avoid these wheels at all costs, both the 83mm and 97mm variants until they change supplier.

As I'm sure you are aware there are also a list of other issues with the entire GT range, the GTX included. Remote is on it's 4th round of firmware, and they still have not been able to resolve the connection issues, but simply bandaid fix them. You can still get cross remote connections, where two boards can be using the same remote frequency, the motors are still failing, the deck is basically a bamboo GT, but they routed out the middle of the deck to allow for a larger battery, this gives the feel of a flexy board, but actually weakens the structure. The trucks are still using a large amount of cheap zinc in the mixture, this makes them prone to snapping, batteries are still no name generic prismatic cell pouches which suffer battery sag, dead cell, and the whole QC process still seems a little fast, as some people are getting their delivers of DOA boards, or find that their grip tape design has been applied off centre, things that should be spotted in the QC testing.

Not to put a damper on things, but they still have a ways to go to improve their parts and have boards that can compete in the market both safety and quality. They are very fun to ride, but not a day goes by that our riders group does not hear some sort of issue, either about parts failing, or their experiences with customer service. But it is important to know about these things and to educate yourself, as if they only listen to the positive comments, things will not change for the better.

    Ride safe guys.
