The wrist guards might be the push you needed to step it up to GT mode! (I haven't had the balls yet). Cheers, I'll give Daklinic a call tomorrow about the wheels.

Haha the protec gaurds seem good. Light weight but sturdy. It took a little bit to get used to holding the remote slightly differently but it is actually pretty good. Much better than smashing my hands into the ground i guess.

No way... whoa GT mode is still out of my reach.. although i did spend most of this arvo in fast, but its got plenty of punch in fast, and i dont really push it.. ahaha

Im heading back in there tommorow at lunch to pick up those knee pads. They called me back to say the ones i wanted wernt available, but the other ones are, so ill get them. Im hoping they dont restrict my flexibility too much.. i guess ill learn to adapt..

    They look pretty cool.

I had NFI about skating protective gear and had my hesitations about cheaping out on it. If I'm going to buy it and wear it I want it to work when I need it, otherwise what's the point, right?
The Guy at the skate shop showed me the different types and explained how some are designed for people doing ramp / tube work (the skating surface is still hard, but it is smooth concrete and you might impact it from a height) and some are designed for road and AT type scenarios (bitumin is coarse so softer pads would get chewed up. Having a hard shell is important, and the material needs to be breathable yet strong).

Just finished a session up at Tangari.

Pretty good tracks up there to board on, just watch out for the soft gravel patches!

The hill up the north side is a good test for the board. I went up it in fast mode with no real dramas.

My battery must have gone down by the next time I went around so it went into eco mode without me knowing so I didn't make it up.

It's a shame people are dumping rubbish here, hopefully it doesn't give the council the wrong idea.

Definitely need to get a camera sorted out.

There was a few good looking *sights to see.

Tangari would be a good place to catch up with people that have the AT setup but no good for street.

I forgot to look at the remote to see the distance I had travelled, it was quite a few laps over about 90mins or so.

Ok so I've got the safety gear sorted.

The knee pads are the S1 pro pads. Very comfy and safe. They weren't cheap but cheaper than knee surgery.. when you put them on the hard shell touches just below your knee. I was a bit funny about this to start with, but once you get on the board they are perfect. No problems kicking off with them. Big Velcro straps and top of the line material.

Helmet is also S1. It's comfy but I'm not 100% happy with it. The straps probably just need adjusting a bit better. I have a large head so that is the largest helmet with the smallest pads. After a while you can feel it, it's not too bad but not unnoticeable. I was going to take it back but I might just wear it in for a while.

The wrist gaurds are protec. Very comfy, upper and lower wrist support, 3 x Velcro. Great quality, and the remote isn't a problem with them.

Do you wear anymore gear than a helmet?

Hey guys, sorry for the delay.

So there's a few options for groups that I'm currently investigating. I want to make sure I research it well before settling on a choice, especially as one of them is incredibly expensive. Between illness and study I've not had much time recently. I am looking into it though.

For the time being though, I've set up a dedicated forum for you here to use. Let me know if you have any requests etc.

Still no word from evolved about my motor. I sent it express post so I guess they got it today, or yesterday I can't remember..
Some goodies arrived today.. new evolved helmet plus some speed rings and lithium grease.

I reakon I was missing a speed ring but I'll check when I pull it apart.. they go on either side of the bearing yeah?

New Motor arrived.. I fit it but whichever motor is plugged into hall2 won't start unless it's prompted..

Any ideas? Maybe motor control board got rooted when the motor went?

I tried unplugging everything and resyncing but same same..
