Brand new board. Within the first hour of ownership, the remote is frozen

Just received the Bamboo GT board today.

Left it to charge, then turned it on. It Paired ok, and took it out for a 10 minute ride. No issues.

But then the remote just cannot turn off. It is just stuck, with the display on.

Tried to press and hold both buttons, then both buttons holding together

but the screen is still on, and it is just frozen..

unbelievable that this is barely 1 hour that i owned it...

any help please..?

 

Common problem caused by "flicking on button insread of press and hold". Must do hard reset to get rid of "white screen of death". Unscrew remote carefully to not strip screws, flip circuit board over, disconnect battery plug, wait a few seconds, replug in battery, should be good to go. Advise if this works (has for a couple of us). Good luck and cheers. This issue was reason I joined forum

Thank you PacoP - this seemed to work. Removing the battery and putting it back in worked. thanks for advising not to strip the screws as well.

I ran into the same issue.. quick flick white screen. Easy fix. firmware power cycle would allow you to fix without disassembly.
