Thanks for this info. Much appreciated!
Keep us updated on your progress.
I've ordered most of parts and tools today to build mine project - some of them will be coming from China, so it will take a while before I start building.
Still haven't quite decided on cells yet. But more likely HG2 - found them delivered for $7.5AUD..
    Cheers

    Hi Guys,
Does anyone know what is name/make/model of a balance 11pin plug which Evolve GT uses on their battery?
    It's smaller than JST plug.
Any info will be much appreciated!

I can get 50kms with 8 inch AT and and I used 2600mah cells. Seems like a lot of work that is fraught with problems. Admittedly I wasnt smashing the trigger the whole 50kms but I wasnt range testing either. Took me about 2 hours

    That is one long board!
How many 18650 cells do you have there?
    Thanks

Looks like 2 lots of 10S 3P or 6P in total?
    Cheers

Where did you get the deck?

Why not go the route I'm taking which is a lot less work. I'm adapting/redesigning the standard battery box so the battery is swappable. I'll just carry the spare battery or batteries in my backpack and just swop over as needed. Job done!

    Hi shoretrax
Interested to know what is pluggable other than main power.

Do you intend to use stock BMS and take all balance wires to a plug or does each swappable battery pack have its own BMS

Also -physically where will the battery packs sit?
Inside the stock enclosure or outside of enclosure

What config are you going with battery packs 10s 3p?

    Cheers

Quick update. I've managed to fit 10s4p in stock enclosure by moving bms above the control board. Obviously i had to route the deck for it. As it may potentially create a weak point I'll reinforce the area around it with metal strips. Or just make a metal gasket around the base of the enclosure.
Even now without it I've tried to bend or jump on the board, it looks like no strength was lost.
I just like the idea of keeping everything neat.
Also I've decided to go with sony VTC6 3000mah - according to my research and multiple tests I came across they should give me more of usable capacity. However they set me back $12 x 40 vs $7.5 x 40 for HG2 - huge difference.
    Cheers

Nice idea, I think you will find it a firm fit but it would be good if you could make it work.

Batteries have arrived. Spot welded should be here today or tomorrow but nickel tabs are coming from China. So, looks like I'll start building it in a while

Those cells are a pretty look

Do you mind letting me know of your Sydney source for these ( PM if you like)

I didn't think there was enough width in standard case for two cells where the mounting thread bit is . Are you looking at staggering cells to avoid these areas (only two off locations) ?

I am looking at a new enclosure for cells , BMS and VESC - slightly wider, longer and deeper

Am now considering doing away with stock battery and replacing with a 10S 6P arrangement (with double deck cell packs) and re-use evolve BMS and VESC

    Cheers
