AT tires?

I was wondering if there are any third party vendors that sell other version of the off road tires with different colors, tread, etc. that would fit the 8 inch inner tubes?

 

Carbon GT can only use 8 inch tires or can it go up to 9 inch?

 

I found some on Amazon.com - MBS T3 Tire - Red - Single and other colors in 8 inch sizes.

Wait until December, I messaged evolved about coloured tires and they are currently getting them made.

 

I find prices on the Evolve website to be higher than Amazon, so we shall see if it's worth the wait!

 

I just talked to Trampa and right now there hub's will not fit Evolve boards. He will fix that problem as soon as he can. I will repost when it's done. The hubs need a sleeve for the bearings to fit. Everything else is all good.

 

Do these fit now? Looks like they added spacers to the site that are 9.52mm.

 

I haven't checked. The last time I talked to him he was a d**k. Sounded like he had zero interest in making them fit. You could try and give him a call.

 

Trampa has there own stuff going on. They were helpful with me getting stuff to work on my Gen2 board, but I can see why they aren't interested in making 3rd party parts tailored for Evolve when they sell their own eboard stuff too.

However, their 7 and 8 inch tires fit fine on my MBS wheels for my Gen2 boards. Their 5 spoke wheels have the assembly bolts in different places, so it doesn't match the Evolve drive gear. I'm running one of their drive gears modified to stand off the wheel further so it lines up. It's been pretty nice. I'll probably try some Evolve long wear 7 inch tires when I wear out the Innova 7's I got from Trampa.

I haven't tried their 9s yet, since they fit a different wheel. I plan to though, just because.


TL; DR: MTB tires should mostly be swappable, but, ymmv.

 

So any of these 8" tyres can be used for Evolve GTX (which is same as GT I suppose)?
Or should I just buy tyres and Inner tube, and then, buy MBS hubs separately?

EDIT: Ok I read again your comments and I read that they wouldn't fit. I will buy then tyres and tube, and for hub, I will buy MBS ones

 

MBS hubs were used on the Gen2 Evolve boards. I'm not sure what the bolt spacing is on their hubs for the GT(X) boards.
