So I'm about two weeks from making a electric skateboard purchase. I've read/ watched countless reviews and am pretty sure that due to my preferred riding style being that of carving and enjoying some flex through the board that the evolve GTX would be the best option available right now .My only cause for hesitation is the Rapter 2 .I know it's not got much flex but I do likeminded the idea of the extra speed and that you could push skate home if needed on the hub motors ,that being said the wheel choice seems limited and being over here in the UK and having a evolve main agent for any niggles seems a posotive point .Plus I've been told the rapper wouldn't be in my hands until approx late June which from what I've read can change .
I think I'm answering my own question but it still makes me think on it .

  3. I say the GTX is great... when it’s working. Their support is getting worse as they disregard known issues. The raptor has top performance and top customer support. One half dozen and six of another.

  4. I have the Carbon Gt. I love it. I weigh 250 lbs, probably 270 with a backpack and it is the way I get around since I don’t drive. I love it. I get around 15 miles to a charge with 97 mm wheels. I love the range and the power. I had to replace my first belt. A rock got stuck between the belt and the belt cover. I’ve had no real issues other than that and I have about 30 charges on it. The board goes 24-25 mph on flat ground with me on it. I don’t regret buying it at all. It would be nice to go faster but 25 is plenty fast for me. The Raptor 2 looks really awesome though.

  5. I weigh similar. 240. My GTX is faster than I want to go... and goes good distance. 20+ miles with street wheels and about 15 I think with AT’s. I love mine too. But still the service is getting worse not better.

I ride the Carbon GT with the AT wheels. I haven’t owned it very long, about a month. To date I have not found out how fast it can go because it is scary fast and powerful. I have been on 2 rides that were right at 18 miles. I am 180 lbs and both rides included over 300 ft climbs, according to the Sports Tracker app. I have put about 50 miles on the board. The board has worked flawlessly. I had R2 Remote problems twice. The service department in California took great care walking me through my problems. The first time I had a remote with a detached USB port. I received a new one, in my hand in 2 days. I am in Arizona. Good service is important to me. So far, it’s been great. My complaint is that there seems to be a problem with keeping things in stock. How long has the “Sold Out” sign been on their website for the R2 remote? I would like a backup R2, just in case. My dogs like to chew on things. As with any fine machine you should give it a little TLC. I saw some guy on YouTube that had damaged carbon fiber and various other problems with his Carbon GT. He was whining about the construction. It was obvious from looking at the board that he did not take care of it. It looked like he had been in the Baja 1000 and then threw it in front of a truck. He doesn’t deserve to own such a fine machine. Go with the Evolve in my opinion. Good luck.

Cheers dude ,and to confirm since starting this thread I have bought a GTX Street plus an extra R2 remote as I prefer to have a spare incase of any accident.Ive also bought a set of 107 evolve Abec 11 wheels but have yet to try them as I'm waiting until I get the 38t gear setup and some bearings .I love the board but unfortunately due to the awful fold and wet UK winter weather I'm not able to use it much .Roll on the summer !!!! I'm getting the new remote upgrade to the firmware and battery week commencing the 11 April
    Happy eater ,Best Ja
