    Hey everyone !
    i have a question !
the max speed i get with 83 mm wheels evolve is 34 Km/h with no wind on flat floor....
    Is it normal
I remembered that i get faster with the Carbon Gen1 ? are you agree ?

What is the best way to get more speed ?
    - ABEC 11 97 mm Flywheels ? and what is the maxspeed with it !

    THANKS !!!
    NEED ALWAYS MORE SPEED !
    BIG UP

I seem to remember Andy saying something to me at the weekend about the Gen 1's potentially being faster at top speed downhill as they freewheel with less resistance than the GT.

    Maybe he can clarify.

On flat ground, I can hit 24mph in Fast mode on my Bamboo GT with 97mm ABECs & it was still pulling... I can hit 20 in Fast mode uphill with 7" AT wheels :)

Gen 2 top speed is higher than GT.

    GT max speed with 83mm = 22mph (35hm/h)
    Gen 2 max speed with 83mm = 24mph (39km/h)

    GT max speed with 97mm = 26mph (42km/h)
Gen 2 max speed with 97mm = 26.5mph (43km/h) - This is my unofficial measurement

    Evolve Skateboards Comparison Chart

The GT (and probably gen 2 as well) top speed is limited by the motor controller. If fully unleashed, the GT would absolutely smash gen 2 top speed.

Abec 11 makes 107mm which would be faster, but they won't fit on the GT without modification. I think 107mm might fit on gen 2 carbon though, not sure. GT AT with 8" tires = same top speed as 97mm street.

Jeff posted a video where his top speed was 60km/h... Who know the tip to unleash the beast ?

This would have been a mod that Jeff and the boys did to one of their boards, nothing users could do themselves, or attempt to.

It can be done, you have to "fool" it. Anything EV driven can be fooled into pushing out way more power. However if you want reliability this is not the path you'd want to live on.

Max speed on AT wheels for cgt on flat ground no wind. I got 37kmh probably could get 38 or 39 fresh off The charger. My at tyres are inflated to 50 psi. Anyone else? What's your speed with AT set up?

I have notice after riding my carbon gt that my top speed went down. When i got the board on full charge it ran on gt mode at 44km/h in the air no rider. Now the same at setup is doing 37km/h full charge.

On street wheels its top speed is 31km/h

    Anyone experiencing this???

Have you checked to see how balanced your batteries cells are? If the cells are not fully balanced you won't get full power nor range out of them. Only time I saw that I didn't reach top speed was when my board was brand new. I was about 2mph shy of the rated top speed. I then balanced the pack over 2 days and I got back those 2MPH.

On a full charge I can always reach the rated speed of 26mph on my CGT running the 97mm wheels. It lasts only a couple of miles then drops down to 24mph due to voltage drop of the pack, but the board does indeed reach its rated top speed even after some time/use.

How do I balance my batt?

After it has charged 100% where the charger LED light turns green, allow the board to stay on the charger overnight. Do this for 2 to 3 days/charge sessions and that will allow the BMS to balance the battery.

Also Evolve was nice enough to put a "secret" menu that displays the battery information, there's even a page that shows every cell's raw voltage, and from that screen, you can compare each cells voltage from one another and see how far they deviate from one another (which is called in theory "out of balance").

I always let my board sit on the charger overnight, that way I know my battery is always in balance. Then know that I always can get the maximum yield or power from the battery pack on every ride and have no need to enter the secret menu.
