TOP SPEED: 22 MPH

The R1X reaches a blistering 22 mph top speed - our fastest board ever. Enhanced regenerative braking with our RX Remote means you can come to a stop just as easily and have the most comfortable riding experience.




RANGE: 14 MILES

Never stop riding. We have upgraded from the 7 mile range offered on previous boards. With 14 miles of range you can take the long way home, or go on multiple rides per day without recharging. No need for a swappable battery pack!



REFINED CONTROL

Our new RX controller features an oversized roller thumb wheel so you'll have finer control of both acceleration and braking. With the RX Remote you can either make small speed adjustments or redline the acceration depending on your need. Also, the RX Remote features 4 unique braking modes, allowing you to customize the deceleration curves to your liking.


Note: The RX Remote is compatible with all R1 and R1 Elite models and can be paired in just 15 seconds following these directions.



DESIGNING A SHORTBOARD DECK THAT HAS IT ALL

Function: The R1X's kick tail allows you to tack around, pop it up, or even ollie curbs. Micro-concavity hugs your feet while carving. Built in handles mean you can literally carry the R1X with just one finger.


Form: The R1X's eye-popping Rosewood makes it look unlike any other board on the market. Detailed touches like the laser engraved logo add to the appeal



1800W DUAL BELT DRIVE

With a 3:1 gear ratio, deep-toothed 15M belts, and hardened pulleys, the Riptide's drive train can take you up steep hills - with refined control. New in 2019 we've implemented a reinforced hanger to mitigate bending and warping, along with slotted motor mounts for belt tightening (see below).


The "Hubs vs. Belts Argument" was easy for us. When matched with our short, stiff deck, all the hub motors we tested - and the minimal, low quality urethane that came with them - failed to provide the performance and smoothness we sought.
