Evolve Carbon GT dropout problem [video]

I recorded this video two days after receiving my Evolve Carbon GT for the German support to show them the issue I had with the board. If you are interested in the issue, but don't speak German, don't listen to my voice. Try to listen to the sound of the motors.

Since I got the board, the German support replaced the motherboard and gave me a new remote. This helped to reduce the board's dropouts, but did not completely made them go away.

The reasons why I decided to make this video public now, is that after not hearing back from the German support for 11 days, I asked on the Evolve HQ Facebook page, who I could speak to about the issue and asked them if it would be possible to get a replacement. By now my trust in this board is very low.

But what did Evolve Australia do? They simply deleted my post!

I send them a direct message to ask why they did that and they responded with:
'This is a social media not a support page, ...'
(Just to make it clear: They had no intention in getting back to me. They only replied because I send them an additional direct message.)

In a time where Samsung, GoPro and Boosted Boards recalls a product, because of issues, it makes me wonder, why Evolve don't want you to see this video.

There are a lot of people without issues and they love riding their Evolve GTs. In the moments where the board works perfectly and I forget about my trust issues, I love it too.

Always wear protective clothing and a helmet!!

    Disgusting.

If I knew about the number of issues this board has and how they don't handle it at all, I would have thought about my decision to buy it. Experiences like these don't give me confidence to ride my board since I'm just waiting for an accident to happen.

Exactly, I feel the same way.
But my loud complaint about this reaction obviously helped that someone from the German support noticed it, checked their emails again and apologies for not getting back to me. So, at least, I am back in contact with the German support and they want me to send the board back in next week. I will keep you posted what happens next....

I would by from Evolve UK if you are in Europe. (I live in Spain). They have awesome customer service. :).
They even replied on a email on a Sunday night from me. having remote issues, they shipped me a new remote straight away. And keept me informed every step of the way. Now whit the new remote the board works perfekt :grinning: This Board is the best thing I have bought for myself ever. (Except my Harley :p)

Really happy I bought from them. And LOVE my C-GT

    Cheers :punch:

There are some riders with no issues at all - but still quite a few with lingering issues - we are still waiting to hear about the newest batches - but the few comments I've read online have been positive - no remote issues - so maybe its been worked out of production (by design or just by luck with different radio chips etc) - the problem is the owners that have had controller boards and remotes replaced and still have problems - like above which tells me Evolve still really doesn't have a handle on what's causing this - likely not helped being encased in Carbon like Wiztecy has mentioned a few times...
