It would give you LESS range actually. Any wheel that's taller takes more energy due to mass and height to keep rolling.

Honestly looks hoopty to me.... WTF? Whats up with the board having so much rise, looks dangerous.

  4. Might give you a higher top speed though? (like the abec 110s) but yeh, I think the stock wheels strike that balance of range/speed.

Larger wheels actually causes less rolling resistance.

Rolling resistance varies a lot based on various things, but, Evolve as an example, the larger wheels get less range.

    Factors I'm aware of:
-Contact Patch (more=less range, more traction. This increases with width and diameter)
-Hardness (AT are softer than eurothane, softer is less range)
    -Internal Resistance (bad bearings)
-Gearing? (I'm not entirely convinced about how this affects it, but there is definitely a 'sweet spot' of efficiency, applies to throttle management too)
-Um, external factors? (weight, wind, incline)

^ another factor is weight, more weight has more resistance to the motor.

With cars no matter what, going to larger wheels always results in less acceleration, less power, and decreased efficiency.

Only time its true is if the gearing for the vehicle or whatever was designed with those wheels so you have optimum gear ratio for what your trying to achieve overall. Such as do you want more power, top end, efficiency, etc..

Diameter is also a factor. For Evolve, the larger wheel is a completely different type (pneumatic vs urethane). For same hardness, the larger radius has less rolling resistance. On the OP image as I see that is not a pneumatic.

range and speed will be down to drive ratios, those tall skinny wheels on a carbon or a gtx would reduce rotating mass and rolling surface resistance.

think 700c road bike vs 26" mtb would be a fair comparison.

so yes in my opinion correctly geared range would increase.
