Has Anyone ever replaced a faulty on/off switch for the carbon gt or bamboo gt?

One of the 4 wires that connect my on/off switch to the motor controller came undone. During my ride I experienced a battery drain warning on my remote and then my board just straight died on me. Upon opening the board up to see if a wire was loose or undone, i noticed that one of the wires connecting to the on/off switch was disconnected. The only way to fix it is to either re solder the wire together or to get a new switch mailed to me from evolve. Has anyone ever had to change a defective button before? any advice or comments are welcomed!

Did they give you a new button with wires connected or just a new button?

Same thing happened to mine, same spot too. You can just solder it back on if you want and it will work fine. Evolve will send you a new one if you contact them and you are under warranty. If not you can just get the name of of it(its stamped somewhere i cant remember) but you can buy them for super cheap.

After you get it fixed I would continue that hot glue job up onto the wires if possible. That would protect it a little from vibration and stress on the solder joint.

Yes, DEFINITELY hot glue the solder joint. I had this exact same issue (same wire even) and prior to this, I was having multiple disconnects on my board randomly. Resoldered the wire, generously added hot glue to the connection, and no longer have any issues. Seems like the joint failed to due vibration since the wires are free to jiggle around putting stress on the solder joint.
