I’ve put over 100 miles on my bamboo gtx The past few months and others than 1 issue with the R2 controller which Evolve replaced this board has exceeded my expectations on ride and quality. My only complaint is when spending almost 2 grand on a board you would think evolve could have built in the cost for a front and rear light system. With that being said for those night riders which is the best brand and set up. I’m looking for best clean install and overall best lighting. Thanks

Mpowered - I tried a few solutions but ended up tailoring one for myself. The first thing I tried was the ones like sold on the Evolve website. They are the rectangle ones with red light for back, white light for front. While the back light is great and really increases being seen from the back when flashing the front light was just too weak. I have go pro mounts on my helmet, the front and back of my board. I ended up modifying one of the longer mounts so I could attach an LED bike light. I basically sanded it down a bit and slide, forcibly ¾ pvc over it. Added some epoxy in there and it is solid enough to attach any bike light to it. I bought one of those 10000 lumen led lights and I use it on the 2nd of 3 settings. The highest had people flashing their brights at me and also had less battery time. I also use the left over white led rectangular one for my helmet. Now I can see pretty well at night. BTW the higher powered light on the front comes at a cost. It requires more power so I have the battery pack for it velcroed to the front of my board. Hope this helps.

Thanks, thinking about the shred lights for the front mounted under the board. I tend to ride with my rear foot near the back truck bracket sometimes so the shred lights mounted on the bracket above the deck would get in the way. Was thinking about the red tail light on the evolve website, but they are constantly out. Thanks again for the info.

Shreds on the front and a Serfas Thunderbolt on the back is a pretty good combo that I also use myself on the Carbon GT. You should be able to pick up the Serfas rear light from Amazon if you follow this link:

Shred rep said the stock screws on the trucks would fit with the step bracket. There doesn’t seem to be much thread left. Did you need longer screws? Thanks

I have just seen your post about the brackets fitting OK and have measured the bracket thickness with a vernier for you. The brackets only measure approx. 1.75mm thick, so as long as you have 2mm or more of thread currently showing, you should be fine just like the Shred rep says! Hope that helps.

I always carry a small backpack when I use my SB mostly for work and I carry the vibe on my backpack , and the vibe pro on the go pro attachment plus a small cheap brand just in case the other two ran out of juice. and as an extra led changing colors lights on the bottom.
