Hi everyone, new to the community here so sorry for the new guy questions.

I recently got a second new evolve Carbon GT(battery and remote issues with the first one) and have a few questions.

When I first power the board on it goes into safe mode. Is that normal?

I have less than 3 miles on the board and I there is a rattling noise coming from the rear of the board, sounds like loose screws ect. everything is tight, no idea what that is.. any ideas?

I like that way it rides but definitely worried about the quality since this is so new..

    Thanks in advance.

There was a new firmware update with the remotes so if it looses connection it goes into safe mode. So when you power on the remote it starts in safe mode this is normal,as for the rattle it might be the GT badge that's loose ,hopes this helps:thumbsup::thumbsup:

    Thank you,
Thank you, everything seems tight, and the noise seems to be coming from the motor area...

Thanks for the advise, just put the AT kit on and went for a quick spin.. The noise is gone with the big tires but I still need to sort out why it rattles so bad with street wheels.

I'm betting you have the AT kit on. The rattle, does it happen when you corner? If so, it might be the bearings in the plastic rim. This sounds like a clicking/rattle. Put grease around the bearing, this helps.

Thanks Timmy. I put plenty of grease on the wheels before setting the bearings. The A5 set up has no noise at all. It's when i have the stock steet wheels on. Sounds like there are loose nuts and bolts! Cant figure it out

tmac99 - I have had that happen to me and have solved it by redoing everything with the rear wheel setup. It is a bit of a pain getting the gear piece out of the motor wheels but I have ended up just changing front to back every time I do this for better wheel wear. A punch tool or even an allen wrench can be used with a hammer to lightly whack it out. I hit it in a clockwise pattern until it pops out. Once I have it rebuilt it generally stays quiet for the next month or so but more frequently depending on how much you ride. I generally ride it a couple times a week. I also have never used grease in that I always went under the assumption it just attracts dirt but that is just me. I clean everything and reinstall. If upon inspection I find a bearing or two that is getting gritty when spun I replace them. Enjoy.
