    Haven't gotten a board yet. Looking to get an Evolve Carbon GT. So weird question, I see on the Evolve sight that they are taking pre-orders and will ship end of April for the Evolve Carbon GT. I mention this because I saw a board up for sale on Craigslist that was about 3 months old, still had 3 months of a warranty. Was the one on CL an older generation of the evolve Carbon GT? Is the preorder a newer generation? I've tried to research and haven't found anything solid.

    Hi Anthony,
    I'm pretty sure it's the same board. I don't think they really keep many boards in stock so they order them in batches based on pre-orders.

    I'm also interested in selling my bamboo GT if you want to switch to the flexy side and save a few hundred dollars.

    It's my understanding that the boards are shipped via ship around the world to distributors, so delivery can take up to a couple of months after an order for new boards is placed. There haven't been any major changes recently though.

    The only potential difference between buying one new vs one that's a few months old is that if the old board was bought before November of last year then there's a chance it will have the old remote firmware.

    There's pro and cons to this. If you have a search you'll find some discussions on what changed. Primarily the way the boards shifts up and down, and the way the board kicks into eco when the battery reaches a certain percentage.
