Bamboo One - Two wheel drive

Planning to modify my Evolve Bamboo One skateboard by adding a second drive motor

This is the result of at least two individually failed and replaced single drive motors.

My warranty will expire soon and I suspect Evolve will stop sending me replacements soon after.

It's less expensive to replace both of the smaller (not OEM) motors than replace the One’s larger drive motor from Evolve.

The mod is simple with the exception of soldering leads for the second motor onto the electronic control board.

Parts list, pictures, links and progress reports to follow

The Evolve One just came out, how the **** is your warranty expiring?
Warranty is usaully 1-2 years except you live somewhere in arctic-siberia or something...

Can your ESC handle 2 motors?

Evolve Skateboards USA store policy is 6 month warranty from date of purchase.

My initial inspections of the board and controller, and noticing how their current board lineup works,,, by selectively scaling up each ascending model with only minor component upgrades/changes. Indicates yes, the controller can be easily adapted to run two motors.

I’m going to get into the Electric Skateboard Controller modification, and using two motors in a later post.

Hey, you did it? I thought to do the same, but I didn't see any cables to connect a second motor.

There are no cables for a second motor but, you can make your own MT30 connecting cable and solder it to the electric skateboard Controller's printed circuit board

If you look closely at the Front side of the ESC board. You will see three small soldering pads (labeled A B C) in the symmetrical location to the ones located on the Back of the circuit board, where the origional leads to the motor are located.

Thats awesome, congrats on the New GTX !

I'm looking to upgrade (part by part) my Bamboo One to a Bamboo GT w/ off road tires... probably something I should have bought in the first place...but that's ok because, I like to tinker with my electronics...and as you know it's not always about the destination but how you get there.

    Hey guys,
I'm doing the same thing on my board currently.
Have everything soldered and connected but not getting any power through the other half of my board.
Only the original out put (hal 2) runs.
Both motors work as I've tried each separately on the original connection (hal 2)
    Any ideas ?
Guessing I need to jump these pins to the right of the frame?

Looks like your missing a bunch of components on the right side of the board. Im guessing they omit those for the One board
