Maint. When to replace Motors/Bearings/Belts? ~1k miles into Bamboo GTR

    Hello everyone,

I've had my board since august 2019 and ridden probably about 1k miles.
I've only fallen off the board twice due to abnormal remote disconnect (one time was while going uphill); with no major injuries (only a sprain shoulder for about 2 months).

Another symptom I've noticed is when going downhill, I would have to slowly click the break to get the gears into place (I think) before I do real braking. It does the 'jerky'/skip thing where it would throw you off the board if you're not careful

My question is, when should we be replacing the motors/belts/bearings and etc? My board makes strange clicking noises since day one so it's hard for me to tell audibly if parts are in need of replacement. To be exact, I think it's only one of the motors that's making the noise.

I'm about 220lbs and always ride in PRO mode and ride aggressively up and down hills). It goes for about ~14miles before the battery dies on me (it use to go to about 16 miles when I first got the board).

Here's a short sample video of what types of terrain i'm riding on:

I hope you're geared up!. I have had a few disconnects but I have noticed it tends to happen when I take off, have to brake quickly & then hit the gas again. Like when someone cuts you off & you have to panic stop. Have you tried adjusting the belts/position of the motors? Sounds like there is a little slack in the system. I'm about the same size & got about the same mileage with the 7" AT set up. I switched to the street set up with 107s & I now get about 24 - 26 miles out of a charge.

Update: I was able to get my board to go for a distance of 18 miles before the board completely stopped. Did this ride on the Oregon Vernonia State Trail.

Road on Economy Mode all the way and did not accelerate much on the down hills.

I go with GTR mode but I need to correct my last post - I get about 20 miles out of a charge with the street set up.

If you're using the R2 remote maybe it's better if you calibrate the brake a little bit later than at point zero.
if you brake and the button hangs slightly, your board will not immediately hang in brake mode
