Keen to hear if anybody has an idea of where the Evolve go in 2018. Any thoughts?

    they need way better controllers
also need to start covering the decks completely in grip tape, dangerous overwise.
also coming with replaceable motor guards would be a real bonus.

JAY boston says they are going with hub motors and better batteries. I will be excited to see hub motors that can run in AT. I hope evolve does not release some half baked board as we all know most companies are capable of.

id be disappointed if they go to hub motors, belt drive offers more urathane between rider and road.
the thin layer of urathane on all the hub drive boards usually 10mm if ya lucky is why i chose a GTX with abec 107mm.

It may sound a bit dumb but I would also love to see some sort of handle, I currently use my board to commute and going in and out of the underground requires pulling it behind me from the rear truck. it would be a lot easier with a purpose-built handle.

Several things I want in 2018:
A bamboo styled 40" board with GT specs
Any other 40" board with GT specs
    A Carbon GT 2.0
    A more reasonable price point

A pair of 2000watt motors from the one board on the CGT and a new more portable board you can take on a plane. Fingers crossed

yeah a decent app would be really great - I have a CGT and am on the verge of buying a GTX to use as a dedicated set up, but don't want to pull the trigger on the purchase incase something new comes out this year, I suppose you never know until it happens.

A YouTuber by the name jay Boston says evolve has something coming up. He talks about it in his all wheel meepo sneak peek video.

I have been waiting for a replacement for my BGT for about 6 months now.
Not that Im one to be brand loyal but the BGT is still serving me alright. (18 months old)
Looked at other brands but none are there yet in terms of real world testing
Hoping they drop a new board soon though, the only reason I havent grabbed a GTX is the possibility of the new one coming out as soon as I buy one.

++ Im guessing it will have the new white wheels they have teased on their Instagram.
Which make me think it may be a similar setup to the Carvon hub setup

great info, will try and track that you tube video down, i might hang on possibly then to see whats coming, i wanted a dedicated street set up and thats why i was leaning towards the GTX with 107s on it, and keeping my CGT with ATs. I will have a look at that video - nice one for the info!

Hub motors may be for a smaller lighter model I guess. I like the belt drive flexibility with regards to wheel choices on my BGT. I would be interested in a smaller lighter board with cutout handles but keeping decent size wheels (or something like the Trampa Gummies) as a commuter board. Swappable batteries would be a logical step forward too, and waterproof would be useful in the UK...!

saw a month or so ago and dual motor version of the ONE board has come out, would love to know what people think of that compared to the GTX

It's a duel motor but smaller battery.

I think the new boards will be announced at the world cup in a few weeks.

    It better be good.
