Hi All. After about 6 months of lurking I finally found a decent used carbon GT.

I used to ride when I was younger and now 30 years later, technology has progressed sufficiently, so I can get something similar to the hoverboard from "Back to the Future."

The previous owner bought the board to use when walking his dog but his dog disagrees! Well, my beagle is going to get used to it!

I'm going to take things slow, helmet, pads etc and get used to manoeuvring it around then my need for speed will soon kick-in.

Hopefully the GT serves me well and brings plenty of smiles. Merry Christmas to me and everyone!

Ps. I do visit Hyde park from time to time for work, so I'll be heading over with my beagle n' board and hopefully meet some fellow owners.

    Matthew

Hello dude! Can't believe you travelled from Surrey to Merseyside for a board, that's commitment! I'm still rocking a Gen 2 bamboo, but looking for an upgrade when I have big enough balls to part with the cash. I'm like you, used to skate. I bought my daughter an e-board, then I had a go (of course) and was hooked. The evolves are sweet mate. Best of luck with it!

Cheers. Bit of a road trip. I had work in Coventry for two days so made it part of the plan! Just seen a slightly better deal 15 miles away from me, typical! It's still a lot of money to part with but I got lucky playing poker two nights running while the missus was away and that covered the cost of the board and of course a nice Christmas gift for my wife!

I've been out for my second run today.
Trying to stay safe and not push to hard but managed 7 miles around the local village, getting a bit more confident. I'm chuffed. It's my new toy and it's delivered so far.

Take it easy, an opportunity will come up for you.
