    Hi everyone,

It's good to finally join a forum, I've already read some really useful stuff on here!

I've recently moved from Glasgow to London (Greenwich) and, crucially, also bought a Bamboo GT. I'm not that confident on the bamboo yet if I'm honest and haven't pushed it past eco mode yet! Weather/lack of days off recently has meant little practice for me, but hoping the weather will get better soon and the rest will follow.

The board I love! I've got it set up with street wheels and waiting on the ATs over the next month I think. The remote, I don't love so much, so sorting that out as much as possible will be a project. I've already seen some good stuff on here related to that.

I don't actually know anyone that skates or has a longboard so I'm hoping to meet up with folk for a cruise about the place, or events I'd be into as well. If anyone wants to join me this weekend, I'll be heading to Greenwich park at some point to try and build my confidence on the board a bit more.

    And I've rambled enough.

P.S my photo wouldn't load for my avatar - I will try and sort that.

    Eric

Have fun learning to enjoy your Bamboo GT. Weather is a thing in the winter but pick your days and go out when possible. I am more and more confident riding my board (took some time) and with the AT setup it is like snowboarding when you start making the nice turn movements.

I will thanks. Yeah, been trying to free up time and go for it, but the other day the heavens opened up as I was rolling up to the park. Had to laugh as I u-turned out the front gate. Looking forward to these AT wheels - they'll make getting about London much easier I'd imagine.

Hey Andy, so I'm told. Matt was telling me when he delivered my board - which was much appreciated! A group skate sounds amazing :)

Welcome Eric! Glad to have you on board! You managed to master the remote yet? :)
Be sure to keep an eye out for the Critical Mass events in London at the end of every month.

Yo Alex, thanks for saying hello. Good to be here, can't wait for the year ahead. My first goal is to get confident enough to join you guys for Critical Mass so I look forward to it. Honestly, I've had so little free time due to work and exams that I've had little practice since I joined, but I'm sure once I have a semblance of life again I'll soon master the remote :)

Thanks Alex, I promise in the months to come you'll find me there. Tomorrow I have work, then a beast of an exam, then straight off on holiday for a week to recover haha!

You'll do great mate, stay focussed and write out the notes, then you can go all out for the vacation and let your hair down ;)
