    Hey All,

Great forum; learning a lot from everyone's input and posts. I'm seriously thinking about a GT Carbon purchase in a week but not sure if I want to pay an extra $160 USD for the 2 in 1 series. Leaning toward just an AT setup. I will do most of my riding on bike paths (90% of time) - mostly smooth sidewalks but some asphalt with minor cracks... (other 10% on trails/grass hills). I have a regular skateboard now and can manage sidewalk cracks and driveways....

For those of you that bought the 2 in 1 series; how often do you change setups and what is your percentage of time on the AT wheels verses the street wheels? Thanks and ride safe!

Once you go AT, you don't go back to street, at least not very much..

    Thanks Zac....

Or I'm wondering if Evolve will let me swap out the 97mm ABECs instead of the 83mm wheels. Looks like there's a $30 difference; but I'm willing to pay that extra costs... We'll soon see by mid-week...

I use both sets I take long sessions in the park with my dog and weekends I do a 12 mile downhill route in the street set up. Both are great.

I prefer at for all conditions. Smoother ride.

Street has way better range and stamina but I save them for smooth predictable rides.

In honour GT 97 abecs config is a tremendous advance and liberty sensations

  9. I'm a AT user, never had a skate before, thinkin about buy a street conversion kit with the evolve 97mm. And I have a question, is the evolve 97mm smother than the Abec 97 mm? It's more silence?, seems that the evolve is more "rubberized" and the abec is more "plastic"

In my opinion overall I like the street setup better. I have the gtx 2 in 1. The street 97mm are awesome. Lots of torque and it handles great. I like the low CG and surf feeling it gives you. It feels like a sports car compared to the AT wheels. The 97's are big enough to conquer most. I've even taken it through short grass. The range is a huge bonus. Ripped around pretty hard in GT mode for 20.5mi/33km the other day. Also draws less current so is easier on the battery and electronics as well. I look forward to the new Abec11/Evolve Black 107mm wheels. Maybe even with the bigger drive gear for more torque to match the bigger wheel. Again I love the torque combined with the handling of this setup. So much fun!

AT wheels are really awesome as well even though I prefer the street setup. They are super grippy and go over pretty much anything. Very smooth. They are really good for shorter rides around town without any worries if a gravel path or broken up concrete gets in your way. I feel like I can conquer anything with them.

If I had to buy again I would still get the 2 in 1 setup. If I could only choose one I would get the street setup as that's how I spend most of my riding. It's all personal preference and how your riding area is. Hopefully this helps. No matter what you decide to do you will have fun.

As far as Abec 97 vs Evolve 97's I can say the Evolve's are super soft. They are comfy but if you hit bigger sharp objects going fast they will chunk on you. I would like to try the Abec's as I have heard they are durable and still grip well. I am going the wait to try the Abec11/Evolve black 107's.

I strongly advocate for the double set, even if I prefer the street set since the riding pleasure is much higher!!!
