Space between covers and wheel

    Hi guys,

My rear left wheel has almost no space between it and the belt cover, I’ve added 2 extra washers to each side between the wheels and the gear and now the difference between the two is noticeable, i swapped wheels and covers and mounted and unmounted a few times and still not sure why. Any clue?
Only thing I haven’t swapped is gears I’ll try that I guess. I know I could remove the covers but something must be wrong so I wanna fix it

I’m not sure I understand but why not add the washers to the left side but not the right?

I could, but I just find it weird that the two sides are so uneven, is that normal? Even with 2 extra washers it’s still so close an rubs, would need a third extra which feels like a lot.
Currently looks perfect with 1 extra washer on the right (2 total between gear and wheel) and 3 extra on the left (4 total between gear and wheel) I would have thought these were built to mm perfection :/

I had this issue too the motor plate was a little bent. I used a rubber mallet and gave a couple gentle taps to the plate. Couple hundred miles on the board since with no problem

I noticed this issue with a brand new board, nothing was bent. I think the washers are good, but consider gear drive washers vs. extra interior speed rings. I dont want my gear and belt to get out of alignment, and the speed rings would just move the wheel out not the gear...

I purchased the Boardbumpers motor bumbers to use with my MBS 8” tires on the Carbon GT. The wheels rubbed on both sides. I put 3 washers on each side. It fixed the problem. It is still a close fit but I have ridden it in that configuration at least 300 miles with no issues. I would not worry too much that one side varies in spacing from the other slightly. These boards are tough. They are made well. They take a lot of abuse. A millimeter here and there should not stop you from skateboarding. Get out there and do some carving man.
