    Hey Guys,

I received my Bamboo GTX 5 days ago and absolutely loving It!!

Only small issue is remote not always doing what I want it too but I just purchased the new R2 so hopefully I now have the perfect package!! Oh and ofcourse waiting 4-5 hours to charge haha

Today i have been out on the All terrains sliding around on a basketball court and on inspection have noticed my rear tyres almost completely warn to indicator marks. See pic
My questions - to get more life out of tyres? Off-road version better? More PSI?
Definitely need to find a smoother area I am sure will help.
I have no problem buying more tyres just want some ideas :)
I also found what appears to be a pin in tyre!! Do I wait for this to dislodge? Tyre puncture kit worth trying?? Recommendations?

Shoe ideas? I have tried my Globe skate shoes (hard thick sole) not enough ankle mobility! Tried sports running shoes - tread grates off on griptape!

    Dan

want to slide on paved surfaces then use the 97mm stone grounds dont do it on ya AT tyres, normal street riding is ok on the AT rubber but range is reduced.

best compromise for range vs comfort on street is going to be the abec 107mm, be sure and get them with the 38t drives if you got ya board as an AT package or you won't have the belts n pulleys needed to hook em up. if you got the 2 in 1 the 32t drives work also for higher top speed but low end torque and braking force is slightly reduced.

    Thanks for your reply Mate.
I did get the 2/1 version of the GTX and was contemplating going the 107s but in the end went with the evolve 97mm that I have yet to try.

i got my gtx as street with abec 107mm 38t drives as an extra so i can set up 97mm 38t for low end punch or 107mm 32t for top end, i like 107 38t its nice but id like to see a 40t drive added also.

these tyre give a great ride but do wear quickly. I always have 2/3 inner tubes standing by as repairing punctures is a pain

So standard with 2/1 version gtx I must have the 32t for street and 38t - All terrains? I have done a little research and I do like the idea of 107s with 38t.

Good idea I have just ordered a couple of spares!
Have you had success trying to repair a Puncture? And if so how?
And by any chance have you tried the off-road Tyres- guessing these wear quicker but interested to hear how they ride??

just go to the bike shop and get some patches, these are my favorites they just peel and stick instant no waiting for glue.
also have a co2 inflator and ya skate tool with you to remove and split the rim.

It's great that you're enjoying your GTX and AT wheels. Like you - i like to carve and slide. The wear and tear is going to happen. I've just changed mine to new AT wheels.

How long did they last you Mate? I am guessing I have a little life left in mine but have ordered 4 new ones so I am ready when the day comes!!

lasted about 4 months. Changed them all to new AT's tonight. Generally heavy street and path riding - average of three 25km rides a week . Right rear wore down to the tube. Lucky my ride was finished. Ride to carve, so i know tire changes will be required. I keep the AT's pumped to capacity (50Psi) to minimise wear and max distance. Enjoy your GTX!

4 months is pretty decent and how we ride these things without carving I don't know haha
Thanks again and I will try adding a few PSI to see how it rides!!

What is the visibility on your rear mounted shred lights? can the be seen or are they completely covered by the motors?

Rear shred lights definitely can be seen beyond the motors (despite facing directly into them). The golden reflection actually helps spread the light and I generally use the "blinking" function. I've tried the rear lights on top of the deck, but they got in the way of foot placement/movement (not good for safety). Happy with them under. Here's some photos. What do you recon?

I have a CGT so I opted to put the lights on my helmet instead (inserted Velcro on the ear holes and have the lights facing rearward) but I am going to order another set and place them forward facing on the helmet so I can try your way. You can never have to much light. Your valve caps are lit bro;p

ha ha - the valve caps were super cheap and interesting novelty addition. As you say "never too much light!" I like your velcro helmet concept. Might apply that myself. Have been looking at options for lights on clothing etc. Carve ON!

These are what I use on my arms.

If you look closely you will see I have these mounted on my rear tucks as tail lights. They are nowhere near as bright as the shredlights but can be seen well as there is a clear line sight. The company that makes them is called nite ize. The batts last me around two months of riding often. Anyone who buys these lights might want to find inexpensive replacements for them on the web before they are used up.
