Bloody hell mate, that looks like something you'd mount on top of a monster truck!

    What's the lumen rating?

AliExpress link isn't working for me even after logging in.

It's hard to see on the pic.. but you see at least 10m ahead of you what's on the road

Thanks to this thread I just went for a night ride, I forgot how much fun they are. Anyway I have found that for best visibility what you really want is for your lights to be as high as possible. to achieve this I have modified a high power head torch to fit my helmet, this works amazingly well, pics below. thats cool but you have to watch anything you mount on your helmet - it becomes a potential source of cracking it open like an egg if your head hits the ground hard - Doctors suggested this is what caused Michael Schumacher's traumatic brain injury when he hit rocks with his head wearing a gopro mounted on the front center of his helmet (your mount above looks flexible which may give on contact which is good)

Damn thats a good point, the mount at the front is a firm rubber like material and attached with velcro, so I imagine it would be ok but I will have a good look over it to make sure it is not going to impale my head in a crash.

I wear a petzl some nights and it also works great (the light goes where you are looking - perfect) - but cringe a bit when thinking about crashing head first - at least yours is on the helmet - mines on the forehead - lol - yea likely worse

Yeah I tried using one of them too, but mine was a little underpowered. I wonder if you can buy safety glasses with decent light output, that may be a decent compromise.

What are the orange things on the edge of the trucks and in the back? Thanks.

    Looks great too!

Based on my nighttime crash testing with a helmet-mounted light, the light mount will break when your helmet hits the street :)

nighttime crash testing = riding at night, lights on and then jump of the board and crash? Pretty intense!

It wasn't an intentional crash. I hit a large rodent (possum, racoon, etc) at like 22mph on a very dark street. My Bamboo GT just stopped & I went fly & landed head first on the street...

Slight road rash on right elbow, right leg, huge bruise on my right hip & my shoulder was sore for a few weeks. My Bern helmet saved my life tho.
I skated two days later with the SoCal crew on an off road ride & promptly fell again, lol
