Picking up my Carbon GT today

    Hi all from Charleston, SC.
I was so close to ordering a Metroboard dual. I emailed the owner a few times but just didn't feel warm and fuzzy about the dual.
Evolves website showed no carbon GT's available but my local kiteboarding shop has 1 new one in stock with the AT tires installed.
I wanted the street setup for starters, so they are switching it back for a 10:00am delivery.
They have both remotes in stock but both were dead yesterday (oh great).
I kinda wish the Metroboard style RC remote worked with the GT?
    A little history about me:
I've been building motorized bicycles, scooters, trikes, & a tallbike for years.
They all started out gas powered, but over 2 yrs ago I converted all to electric via the Bafang BBSHD's & BBS02's @ 52V.
Most of my builds are on the motorizedbicycle & motoredbikes forums tagged by Lowracer.
    Peace

    Well,
    Today was an awesome day!
I picked up the Carbon GT street this morning and was riding it by noon (got the AT stuff too in a box).
    WOW...
    This thing ain't no joke.
I lost the left button rubber piece on ride #1, but I can still shove my pinky nail in there to activate the switch.
The original remote is a touchy SOB without love from my numbified fingers from years of abuse training for endurance cycling.
I hope they send me the new R2 as my warranty card stated they will & I registered it.
I took it 40 miles today but not on one full charge (was in and out all day).
I'm still trying to figure out this charger and what is really left in the battery.
The charger shows still red but the remote shows almost fully charged?
Hopefully the charger is smart enough to not over-do-it and hurt the batteries. I'm going seepy soon and plan on leaving it on. (if my house burns down tonite, ya'll know the truth)
I had to stop to fiddle with reconnecting the remote a few times when the signal was experiencing a very delayed reaction.
So far so good, I'm stoked!
    Such a sexy board.
