How often do you change wheels?

I feel like I go back and forth between my street and AT wheels more often than others. I probably change every week. Curious how often you guys change?

I change my wheels very often. If I want to ride in my city (Brandys nad Labem) I only use the AT wheels, because the roads here are ****. If I go for a ride to Prague, the capital city of Czech Republic, I usually switch to street wheels. I could say I change my wheels every 3 days or so...

I've had my Bamboo GT close to a month now. I bought the combo wheel set and it came with the AT wheels on it.

Since I'm in my 50's and had not ridden a board since about 15, I switched to the standard Street wheels for lower CG to start out with. Within a week I had the AT back on. Really like them.

However, I just received 97mm 75a Flywheels and really like them best overall. Granted, they don't allow for grass, etc, but that isn't a problem where I am.

I have the AT set on and with the kind of weather we have feel that I won't switch until we hit early spring. Maybe if I would buy the Abec flywheels 97mm I might switch more often as of the way they deal with bumps and stuff

I've only got the AT's at the moment. Been reading a lot of people sing praise about the 97mm Abecs though, so might have to give them a go in the spring.

    Alex,

They are hard to locate. The only ones I've seen are from Evolve. They are a bug difference from the stick Evolve urethane wheels when it comes to cracks, gaps, rocks, etc.

Yeah, that's the reason why I've stuck with the AT's, it's like riding a monster truck skateboard, it'll run over anything in it's path. Seemed safer as new rider.

I tried the street setup on a Bamboo GT on smooth tarmac a couple of weeks ago and it felt real smooth. Was a bit odd being so close to the ground after riding on ATs all summer, nice though. Might see if I can justify getting a Bamboo GT in the spring just with street wheels.

Then just swap boards instead of the wheels :grinning:

I'm getting a Carbon GT so I can keep 97s on my Bamboo GT. The ATs are my favorite for overall use, but the 97s are nice on a proper surface. Swapping between boards for street or AT will be easier than swapping wheels :)
