so I bought the skatebolt electric skateboard off amazon. I’d like to keep it and do some fabrication to the grip tape and also add some extra range to it by adding a battery with a switch that can be switched between the on board battery and the battery that I add. It’s a 36v lithium ion 6,600 mah battery. But that’s all I know. What do I need to do to add an extra battery with a flip switch to switch between batteries. Thanks guys

Liljpw12 – not knowing your DIY skills it is hard to say how to guide you. Either way I would advise against adding a second battery to the board. Maybe the better option is to build a better replacement battery but it will take time, money and a level of skill, you don’t want to fry your controller. Read the many posts in this forum and other resources on the web and see if it is really something you want to attempt. In the meantime ride that board until it is no longer fun and go from there. Take Care.
