    Hi everyone,

I just bought the 6" AT Tyre with the 47T Drive Gear for my Bamboo GT. (Edit - I typed 42T by mistake)

I don't see the setting for the 6" wheels on the remote.
Can my R2 remote be firmware updated to include these setting?
    if not.
What would the best setting be to use as an alternative.

    Thank you in advance.

Just checked the R2 remote version 01:02:01:00. Has the wheel option for the 150mm tire and 47, but no 42.

Evolve on the GTR version does not recommend lower than the 47t. Assuming the same on the GT. Too much stress on the motor if riding 6" or larger tires.

Gear inch ratio. Motor drive teeth divided by wheel drive gear teeth x diameter of wheel. Ex: 15t/47t x 6" =1.91. In your case 15t/42t x 6" =2.14. ~12% taller gear.

There is a gear chart at Evolve, but no 42 drive gear teeth listed. You could look at the street and AT options on your remote and hope to find one close to your 2.14 gear inch and use that combination in your wheel option. Gear ratio above 2 all look to be in the not recommended group. If a lightweight and skating flat terrain it might not be an issue. But it might be worth it to invest in a set of larger drive gears and save the 42s for street wheel use.

    Thank you Kim.
    I see I typed 42. Should be 47T.
I guess I will have to get my firmware updated. If it works for the first gen R2. Hope so.
    That will help a lot!

If unable to update firmware a compromise maybe solution. The chart at Evolve notes 47t x 150mm wheel = 15.04 meters traveled per 100 motor revolutions. 97t x 29mm and 32 t x 107mm = 15.76 meters traveled per 100 motor revolutions. ~5% greater than actual. Might be close enough for you to live with.
