Is this normal wear and tear?

I have only been on a handful of rides and this happened a couple of days ago. I have only ridden on pavement and haven't hit anything. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hmm, I have only been on a handfull as well and haven't had it that bad. And the pavement here isnt smooth as butter either - can you describe the paths you rode?

I've had my 83mm chip a liiiitle, but I bought the 97mm flywheels to replace them anyways so I haven't put the 83's to the test.

I have only ridden on paved streets. I haven't hit any potholes or anything.

Any sliding, hard use of the board while riding around? Feel like you hit a rock or a stick sometimes?

Nope, I still consider myself a beginner. I don't think I am even capable to pushing the limits of the board.

Ive had the exact same experience!!! easy cruising, only 2-3 weeks into owning the board, not pushing it at all and this was the result!

Man, warranty that! There should be no reason why stock wheels are that bad (I recall having a small chip myself before getting Abecs, but I thought it was negligibly small).

Evolve already told me that wheels are considered "perishable items" and are not covered under warranty. It makes me think twice about upgrading to the GTX wheels once they become available.

I had heard that before, which I agree with to some extend, however if within a few weeks it should still be covered under the Sales of Goods Act as its not 'fit for purpose' , but then that would have toby settled though court so not worth it in the long run, I definitely think if it is so soon (3 weeks) it should definitely be covered! definitely bad move evolve!

The other problem is that my board is out of warranty. I bought it last summer and it did not arrive until last fall. I only had one or two opportunities to ride it before it snowed. Then it sat in my office until almost May. I got to ride it a handful of times and then this happened.

Thats really unfortunate, I have just got an email back from evolve this morning saying they would send me a free set of new stock street wheels! I am sure that is only because I am also having motor and battery issues as well and outlined that I wanted a refund as I was having far too many issues for a 2 month old board

Mine also dissolved a bit after not many rides...

Perishable means normal wear&tear, leading to having to purchase a new set of wheels.
This is a malfunction of a product, I would say. no way that a huge chunk like that is normal wear&tear?

Just got my new wheels! Since the Abec 11 Flywheels are out of stock everywhere, I bought some of the red ones from Metroboard. I think I like the red better than the green anyway!
