Evolve Suggestion Vibration in remote to signal rider

I would like to be notified when the board shifts into ECO mode or any other warnings.

A small buzz after gear change, when ready to throttle up, would be ideal, too.

Completely agree with this one. This seems to be a sticking point with the whole 'auto shifting' where the remote and board will change gear without giving any feedback to the rider. I've written a bit about it in a previous post.

You could use single, double, triple, quadruple or long vs short vibrates to differentiate between each time the mode changes as successful confirmation that it has changed. Whether is the software doing the change, or the rider manually making the change.

Good idea, the implementation of this feature in design is called "Haptic Feedback".

    autoshifts are the pig.

If you kill the pig you don't need to lipstick on it.

Still, would like to know when board needs a break or when shifting and ready to throttle

It is a good idea for it to be able to notify you.

    However the two cases given...

If the board needs a break, just cut out like the old Gen2 board as if it needs a break it's 99% certain Eco won't do the job (like going up a hill).

If the board is low on battery the shifts are super annoying, not because it is wrong for it to let you know, but because it lets you know continuously on every slight incline. In this case only shift once.

Maybe other people love the auto shifts, but are we not thinking about a feature to work around an existing feature that perhaps should not be there?

I don't really understand the purpose of the auto shift. I've read that it happens when you fall under 40% battery.

I want the board to give me everything its got unless it cannot (because it has no power), or should not (to prevent component overheat/failure), or comes to a final gradual stop on its own, because it's got nothing left.

I'm pretty aware of battery %, so i don't need that managed at all. But i don't want to kill this thing, so i hope it will tell me to slow down before i overdo it. I ride in hills. I know this thing CAN get up anything around here... but for how long? I haven't pushed it because i don't want to wind up with burning out components.

Would love to know if there is something to watch for wrt overheating, and if this auto shift to ECO is related to anything except battery%. Once it shifts - is it safe to try to upshift again?
