I've had my board for about 4 months now and i've mostly used the at setup. But now i need more range on the thing so i switched to 97mms. I feel that the grip on the 97mm 78a and evolve street wheels are kinda questionable. When i used the at i could carve really hard and theres no chance of slipping, but with the 97mms and street wheels it feels very slippery even on smooth tarmac and polished concrete floors, which was paved for pedestrian use. When i get to slightly rougher roads , those that cause very minute vibrations that you feel in your feet, i wouldnt even dare to adjust my body position until the board goes below 20kmph. On even rougher roads, going over 20 kmph i feel will kill me as it will randomly slip out even when not moving my body or trying to carve in any way. Is this normal?

The AT wheels have a stickier contact followed by the Evolve street wheels and then the 78a / 97mm wheels. What you're feeling is normal, you just have to know and understand how each setup rides and grips the road. I typically have to watch out for imperfections, rough roads and gravel/ball bearing like things on the surface. I've kicked out the back end of my Carbon GT pretty hard with my 97mm clones pulling a u-turn on a road, luckily the CGT has an extra long wheel base so I was able to feel it break loose and control it back into the line that I wanted. There were these rolly ball things that fell off a tree scattered randomly on the road surface which caused the rear wheels to loose traction in the turn. I don't think that would have happened with the AT setup since its sticker.
