Hola. I was wondering if anyone have placed Foot Bindings on they're board?
Would love to find a way to place some on my board if its possible, still waiting for my board so dont know if its doable on the carbon GT yet. But it only needs 2 screws on each foot so should be possible to just drill new holes?

Also, any recommendations on what type I should bye?

    Cheers Kenneth

paulfulwood would be the man to to chat to. ;)

I tried the bellow only on the back, as people had told me hard to jump off with both. Unfortunately I didn't find it natural and restricted me a bit on hopping off board. Hoewever other peeps seem fine with it tho. This was on the Gen1 carbon not GT so not sure they fit but Paul is the expert in that area and can advise ha ha

    Experto!
Yeah have always had one on the rear using longer truck bolts. A bit of foam in the binding for comfort and a layer under the binding mount to stop scratching the deck. You don't need to drill holes obviously.

Nice, really cool that I can use the truck bolts.
Was a little hesitant to drill holes, that the main reason I asked you guys.

    Thanks again :)

You can be stable with the trucks completely loose, and turn heaps sharper at slow speeds, and offroading is heaps easier as your foot doesnt jump and shift.

what about if you need to "bail" off the board - in a "run-away" type situation ?

It doesn't restrict you if you only have the back one. Front one is dangerous.

Someone at the Cyclopark event had a decent front and back foot binding setup, but I'm not sure who it was. Can you remember Andy?

    Just seen this thread.

The following were from conversations with Samo/Justin last month . Might help you narrow down the name of the rider between Ewan and Jonathan in the photo.

On the subject of foot bindings, there was someone at the Cyclopark event with possibly just the sort of thing you might both be looking for. He didn't have a GT, but it was a Carbon. There is a picture of his board with the foot straps. He is second from the right (between Ewan & Jonathan). Hopefully I have attached the link correctly. His isn't tagged and now I can't recall his name. Andy might have his contact details though. I was chatting to him about them on the day. He explained he just need slightly longer bolts too fix them to the tucks on the board. They had crescent cut outs so you could adjust the angle of the bindings. I hope this assists. Regards. It has been bugging me I that I didn't know what they were called or who sold them. Did a bit of internet research. I think I have found them or at least something very similar. Link below. S2 Bindings

You are right Warren, I just wanted to try it because I practiced mountainboard for many years and I wanted to feel the same sensations... I put the bindings off now because I don't want to brake the Carbon deck But definively, sensations are awesome !
