Bamboo or Carbon, that is the question

Having a hard time deciding whether to go carbon or bamboo like a lot of people I am sure.

What is the weight of BGT vs CGT? Website lists them as the same, but that doesnt make sense to me since the battery is smaller on the BGT.

Are you happy you went with BGT over CGT? Given the 500 savings and they smoother ride, I am leaning BGT but dont want to be disappointed later on and wish I would have gone CGT.

Planning on riding AT wheels. Doubt I will end up with a need for the longer range on the CGT, but hard to say since I haven't ridden one yet.

If you had to buy again, would you still go BGT over CGT?

    Thanks for your comments.

Honestly this is just pure preference. I personally went for the BGT because of the flex on the board and the significantly lower price point (also availability at the time, but it didn't play as much of a role as the other factors). The main difference is going to be the flex on the deck and the range. If you want a surfy, fun experience at lower speeds, and you don't necessarily need to go more than 10~ miles on a single charge go with the bamboo. If you want a little more rigidity, distance, and stability at high speeds then go with the carbon. It's just really up to how you want to ride the board. It's a big purchase, so keep your own preferences in mind. (also keep in mind that for the price difference you can always upgrade the battery in the BGT to be equal to, or even greater than, what the carbon has to offer).

I would say Speed. The BGT deck is quite flexy. Great for fun and super carving but def not firm enough to be a fast/downhill board.
