Well, after a considerable amount of time I finally bit the bullet late last night and ordered my GTX 2 in 1. Can't wait and just hope I don't regret paying out that much.

  2. best of luck buddy, but why bamboo, why not carbon?

Phil5764 – congrads on your purchase. On a whim I sent the link to my wife saying, this would be an awesome birthday gift. I was thinking no way she would get it because of the cost and it wasn’t even my b-day yet. I would have had a hard time pulling the trigger on that price. Well it has been over a year now and I don’t regret her (our) purchase at all. I have the carbon and the stiffness is a little weird given the length but it too is a great board. I have other long boards that have a great deal of flex but every board has its strength and weakness. My only point as I dribble on is I would be surprised if you regret your decision bamboo, carbon or otherwise. Also good decision on the 2 in 1. The AT and street wheels both offer unique rides. Riding the single track bike paths in my area on the ATs require a great deal of concentration and skill to stay on the board, super fun. I prefer the 97s for street but many are swearing by the 107s now. One last note, these things are powerful, respect the power. The R2 remote makes the power more manageable but I highly recommend a helmet. Enjoy and ride on.

Ah thanks for the reply. Yes it's taken me a long time and I still don't feel able to justify the cost but hey, we are a long time dead. Glad you love yours and can't wait to get it.

Hmmm, it was a difficult choice to be honest and my heart is still with the Carbon but in the end it was purely cost. I know it's not a lot of difference but it was another £100 or so and also the GTX is the latest board and the longboard I have was bamboo. That's it really.

Well the board didn't arrive on Monday but I am told it will be with me today, so probably won't get to ride it now until the weekend. Feel like a little kid, not a 45yr old bloke. That said I don't have any safety gear yet either.

  8. man i am hating the street setup on my carbon gt lately,
feet start to hurt so bad after 2 miles of riding with pebbles and debris on road...
was wondering if i could find softer street wheels like 70a or 65a urethane...

So phil5764..... The excited little kid inside you lives, that is awesome! I hope the feeling continues and the weather cooperates. Enjoy

Fasi-carbon-gt.... Not sure you can get anything softer then a 74a anymore especially that is large enough for the GT. The Evolve/Abec 107s I believe are 74a and should work to decrease the rattles you are experiencing. Other than that the ATs are a smooth ride on just about anything.
