    Hi All,

I have heard that there is new firmware and battery for the R2 remote. How do I know what version I have now? What battery size?

Also, sometime when riding I get some buzzes from the remote and it switches to ECO mode. I am at about 80% power, so I don't think it's that. Is this possibly because a motor is overheating?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bill

Evolve should be able to tell you from your order number if your remote has had the firmware update and larger battery installed. For the battery, you can also open up the remote. The smaller one is labeled 500 mAh. The bigger battery is 750 mAh.

Hey thanks Walter. On the ECO mode, when I got home I discovered that my gear bearing was blown, so one wheel was not spinning freely. Would that trigger the buzzing and ECO mode?

Hard to say. Makes sense. But the blown bearing could’ve also damaged your ESC. I’d stay off the board until you replace the bearing.

    answering my own question....

I thought the battery went from 100 to 0 evenly, but that is not true. Voltage sag will hit and the battery will recover.

So in my case I was at low battery voltage and eco mode kicked in.

By the time i looked at the control, the battery was fine again.

    Good to know...
