  1. The guys and I met up for a cruise around the great city of Melbourne.
Many awesome spots where the ground was smooth as butter.

The guy who owns the One Board won it in some subscription contest thing. All of us at the meet got to try it out abit. Was a new experience but alot of unexpected stuff. April 2017 (sj)-818.jpg

Lets have the good stuff said first:

    1) Light weight and easy to maneuver, great for commutes on trains and trams
    2) The shape is sexy as hell, looks so good and natural with its curves
    3) it managed to keep up with us most of the time (us= GT boards riding in fast)

Alright the not so good stuff
    1) Motor is huge, meaning if you ever wanted another motor u have to buy 2 as a set instead of just adding on another.
    2) Evolve got abit lazy with the battery compartment, the holes that the usual two wires come out of is still there, meaning with one motor, the other is left open, like legit open for anything to crawl or leak into the circuit board
    3) Remote is old, I've never used an old remote before, but this one has connection issues and messed up with the pairings of our other boards.

Hmm, the attention to detail with not plugging the holes you could potentially let slide, although that could quite easily be sealed from the factory.

I have an old gen 2 remote, and in terms of functionality, it's fine for me nipping around.

Hearing there are connection issues on this new board is concerning though, that really shouldn't be happening

Excellent mini review on the Series ONE, just be mindful there is no flex in the board, so you pretty much feel every bump or crack on your ride. Abec 11's will solve some of that; It's great if not the best-looking e-boards on the market.

Just a word of warning my board was 3 weeks old before I sent it back to be looked at, constant dropouts and jerky acceleration relating to the remote, The day before returning it I came off due to controller issues resulting in 4k in medical bills and a broken collar bone :mask:

I am not a great fan of the board. As others have said, it transmits all the little bumps to the point my teeth are chattering on the rough Sarasota streets. On smooth surfaces it's fine, but some streets are simply impossible to surf.

I've had a few dropouts from the remote, but it usually repairs immediately. If I was riding in NYC there is no way I'd use this board, but on side streets in a city that's really a suburb I'll take the chance. I am stupid, however, so keep that in mind.

I may order a Bamboo GT deck, does anyone know if the parts will fit? So far as I can tell, everything is the same except for the motor.

In that vein, I may order the off road wheels. So far as I can tell they'll fit, but perhaps turning will be difficult. Of course if I get the GT board it won't be an issue.
