97mm Flywheels scraping belt cover

Just got some 97mm Flywheels for my Bamboo GT. On one of my drive wheels there is barely a millimetre of space between the wheel and belt cover. On the other, it is rubbing against it completely.

Anybody else had this issue? Solutions?

  2. Make sure the drive gear assembly is pushed back all the way. When taking off the stock wheels to install the Abecs you may have pulled them out some. Take off the wheels again, push everything back as far as it goes. There shouldn't be enough clearance to do that, but worst case maybe you could add a few washers to the truck before you reinstall the wheel. You might also try asking Evolve. They've been pretty helpful with my silly questions they've probably gotten 200 times before

They are a tight fit. Your motor cover is a bit loose and looks like its angled down a bit. Make sure they are lined up with the motor mount. Trust me, they seem close, but if they are setup right, they won't come in contact with each other.

agreed on the belt cover, center it out. Or worst case, shave them little bit, make some clearance.

I run with my belt covers off. They're useless and actually work against your board by picking up pebbles and debris kicked up from your front and rear wheels. Also much simpler if you do get a pebble lodged in a gear/belt to remove. Lastly if you ever need to adjust the belts its a since, just need one alan key to carry with you.

My 97mm clones did the same thing, belt cover was hitting the wheel.

Cut a little bit off with a Dremel.

I use AT covers. Works fine.
