hi im about to changes the griptape on my bamboo what is the Best Way to remove to Stock one and aply the new? Thinking sanding it Down, but what surface is the Best to aply the new? Is it painted or a rough surface? How have other done it?

  2. Best to check out youtube for griptape on a standard double kick skatey. But with the bamboo, take your battery & trucks off, as you don't want to griptape over the battery bolts.

Alternatively, you could do 'strips' of grip tape up the length of the board & save removing anything. Post a photo of your finished product :)

  3. I asked Evolve about this once. They suggested using a spray clear grip to apply to the deck.

you can apply new grip tape over the old. Just sand down the old deck top (remove all components first is probably a good idea) a bit and apply the new tape, its really sticky

I have just ordered a 1m length of Modus Clear grip tape. its 11" or 33cm wide so should go close to covering.
Going to sand it down and try to keep as much design that is under the spraygrip but i don't like my chances of it staying as even by shoes are rubbing it off

So dumb question, does the stock bamboo deck have clear grip tape or is this a coating applied over the wood and is the stock design/pattern painted on under this or is a decal that could come off too? Thanks!

Hey Laleyenda, couldn't help but notice the go pro mount on the front! is that actually for a go pro or like I've seen elsewhere for a LED floodlight for in the dark?
