83mm stock GT wheels or 80mm kegel orangatangs?

Hi Guys, with the ABEC range of wheels not available until God knows when (when they do re-release I will get a set of 97s), if I was looking to upgrade to a GT today (currently have a Gen2 Bamboo), what wheels should I get and why? The only options right now are the 83mm stock GT wheels or 80mm kegel orangatangs. What are your experiences/reasoning behind your preference? Would like to hear from guys who have ridden on both the 83mm stock GT wheels and 80mm kegel orangatangs (which were stock on the Gen2).

I've never heard anyone say a bad word against the kegel's, despite them being a bit smaller. But I've heard plenty of complaints about the stock GT wheels; too slippery, prone to degradation etc.

    Thanks.

Hello. I posted some weeks ago some similar questions on several forums. Lots of riders suggested the Abec11 97mm. But as they seem to be really good, they are also really expensive...and out of stock everywhere ! Must add that this green was not my best colour...
So...I ordered my Bamboo GT with Orangatang Kegel 80mm. On every forum or site reviews, those wheels are mentioned as very, very good wheels. Boosted use them on their boards, Evolve used to on the last gen of their boards, so I think my choice is right ! Reviews explained these wheels are soft, solid and large. I must admit that the colour is also pretty ! No bad word ever against them regardless of the site. And the price is the same as Evolve wheels...supposed to be (not so well) manufactured by Abec11. Hope I helped despite my poor english...

I'd go with bigger wheels over smaller ones, but they'll do fine.
