Hey guys, first post on here. I got some replacement BRH5065 motors for my Carbon GT. I also got the gears today. I'd like to know where I can get some spare screws that mount the gear to the motor? Attached a pic for reference. I see a lot of 4mm/3mm screw bundles out there but not confident.

it would have to be a grub screw with the correct thread type and pitch.

If you take it into home depot or lowes or something, they'll usually have a card with a bunch of different size screws and nuts you can use to figure out the right size. They might even have the part you'll want.

Is this the same as the standard motor used on the carbon gt? I see they do 2 different ones with different kv ratings?

They say 37v as the carbon gt is 42 v my guess would be that it uses 18650 batteries in series.?
Fully charged each at 4.2v with a nominal voltage of 3.7v.
    Sorry for hijack?

    Just interested

You can refer to this guys video for more info on them and a link in his description for where to currently buy: ; There's also this one with more of the info on the kv:

Basically, the motors are clearly the same manufacturer (Racerstar) and nearly identical.

They sellout quick though since people started finding the manufacturer. I bought 2 and a couple spares. Gears are separate for most listings at this point as well. You can find the gears on ebay though: Racerstar Motor Gear Red For BRH5065 BRH5045 Brushless Balancing Scooter Motor | eBay

And to top if off, I found that it's a simple M3 set screw, ordered some. From what I can tell a M3 set/grub screw with a length of 4mm-6mm is ideal.

Also, the gear doesn't set well with the motor shaft, even torqued down with red loctite both motors started rattling with a loose gear. Loctite Metal Epoxy helped this week and don't imagine any more rattling issues. Just can't re-use the gear very easily now :(

    Hope that helps!

Or go to a local R/C hobby store. They should have them. Take the gear and motor in and try it out to make sure you get the right one. They will probably come in a pack of several for a couple bucks.
