Yeah you need to cut around 10mm of the rear wheels, I did it with a drill in a vice and a dremel.

Thanks for posting the info. How do you feel about these vs the 97mm?

They are a lot better, they roll over more stuff and are the perfectly geared with the 38 tooth gear set.

  11. Do you by any chance know where I can buy these wheels with worldwide shipping? Looks like they are out of stock everywhere (and presumably out of production).

Nick, can you share with us the "range" you are getting? How's the torque and acceleration. I am trying to decide between 107mm and 97mm. Too bad the controller on evolve skateboard doesn't have 107mm/32T.

Can you post a link to the dremel bit you used? Do you think that is the best method as opposed to a belt sander or planer? Thanks for any info, I've got a set coming but paid too much and can't find another so I definitely don't want to screw up.

My range is irrelevant as I have a custom battery but I can tell you the top speed with the 38t is 40kmh

I picked up a bunch of carbine bits from eBay and used the one circled below. I think it works better than a belt sander or a planer, but the best option would be to have them cut down on a lathe.

I saw these in the flesh at Critical Mass last night. @HUSKelectric at the pink ones in his Carbon GT, looked fantastic.

He managed to get them to fit by belt sanding them down, jimmy rigging some kind of plank setup to ensure it sanded straight. I can't remember the details exactly, but maybe he can explain better exactly how he managed it.

Are the 107's a significant upgrade over the 97's as far as going over rough terrain? I am currently running the at setup but am looking for a good middle ground to extend my range and I like the carve on street wheels.

Rhideras – If you haven’t ridden the abec11 97’s I can tell you they are a really good wheel. I find they are great for carving and roll over stones and small branches pretty easily. Nothing compares to the AT setup if you are on non-pavement or rough roads. So far I have tried the evolve AT, abec11 76, evolve 83 and I now have abec 11 97s on my GTC. I am working on sliding, something you can’t do on pavement with the ATs and it is a blast. If you can find the 107s and you want to put in the work to modify them go for it otherwise the 97s are great out of the box. Either way strike while the iron is hot if you see either the 97s or the 107s for sale. They are frequently out of stock.

Back to the quest for a range answer. I read that the 97mm give about 30-40% range than AT. What is the range in standard carbon battery for 107mm on 32t? How about 38t?

Lastly, if I were to install the 107mm on 32T, will the torque be too low and unsatisfactory?
