Doesnt the GTR use the same R2 remote as the Carbon GT? If so, the Phase remote has a wifi version that works with the GT/GTX, doesn't mention the GTR though which inside if they use the same R2 remote originally.

Yep, the original 'new' phase remote uses Bluetooth, the old systems used a wifi protocol. The then released a version of the phase remote with wifi for the older models. Still not cheap, but cheaper than a new board! (However I have also replaced the battery in the board, currently I have spent over half the cost of a new board)

However what's wrong with your old one? Mine had a battery that lasted half a ride, replaced for about $20 from eBay and working great now. Lasts about 3 full 25km rides before changing from Green to yellow batt indicator.

My board is fine the damn remote is smashed from when I fell off of the board. You get 45 miles from one charge on your board how! Or are you talking about the remote.

The remote! I wish for the board! I have the Carbon GT with off-road tyres and I am about 85kg. With an aftermarket battery 50% larger than original (15ah compared to 10ah original) I get about 25km max with the way I ride. If I calmed down a bit with the carving and used Eco instead of Fast I could probably squeeze 30km

Okay I gotcha I wish someone would produce a board capable of 40 miles even with hard riding.

I was looking at one on a thread on FB yesterday. It weighs 27kg and most of that is battery... That's insane. Can't remember the brand but good for over 45 miles and around 1500wh battery (mines 560wh)
