my elbow and leg are not to pleased with me at the moment but can't change it now, all the hype around these boards had me super excited to get mine, rode the boosted board v1 all last summer was ready for something next level! really bummed you spend that kind of money on board to find out they skimped out on something very important to safety. riding the boosted board all last summer almost everyday for 5 months only problem ever experienced i had to replace the belts once.

You're so right and almost did fall. The board when shifting from FAST to GT cut out, then all my weight went forward. I don't recommend at all since its easy to get hurt from an unexpected response from the board. I believe what is happening is that there's a huge voltage sag with the battery from the high demand in current during the sift from FAST to GT and a cut-out is hit. Its a good feature if your just going slow and want to up/down shift. You won't have the volt sag issue. But its unsupported so you're in an unsupported area.... so be aware.

I don't hold Evolve accountable for my board acting up / cutting out doing something that's undocumented and also if I got hurt doing this, its my own responsibility. Not fair for them at all. I did ask Evolve if the cut-out is an issue with my board only, if I should worry about it, and if they could look at it when they were doing the last RMA on my Carbon GT. I got no response from them, they choose what they want to answer of your or at least my questions. All they need to say is that we don't support that feature. That's a fair answer and one I'd accept.

NowI do hold Evolve accountable for the board acting or not being controllable as it should and as a rider who just bought the board expects it to operate. It fair and a valid request from the customer that the horrible drop-outs which lead up to other serious issues put the customer / rider at risk and need to be addressed.

    Wow, hope you heal fast.

Yes, the way you were excited was the same way I felt too. Stoked to get it, documented it on this site pretty well. I also took down a facebook page that was talking smack about Evolve and the GT, saying don't buy it. However the person had not nor never explained why he had an issue with the company, videos were made that appeared to be propaganda videos. I had the site / FB page taken down since the guy used a fake FB account to create it. I'm open and happy people talk about their experiences on a product and its ok to be critical about it, however you need to state what happened and try to show you attempted to resolve the issue with Evolve. In my case I tried resolving it with Evolve but they still couldn't fix my board so it would be safe, nasty choppy throttle response and drop outs. Basically the same stuff I asked them to fix. I got fed up, and asked for my $ back or a GT that they can verify works correctly that is safe and not unpredictable. No response. I guess they don't want a buggy board either!?!? So yeah, that's my experience. I'm not going to make a video or FB page to talk about it, I will share my experience that's for damn sure in hopes it may prevent someone from getting hurt bad like I did. I do have the choice to NOT buy an Evolve product in the future, and I made that choice after seeing the full picture of this company when their full support was needed. Its a very high priced toy, I have companies that support me 100% as a customer and I support their product 100% and proud to. Word of mouth is the best type of advertising.

I also came from other electic skateboards before the GT. I have 4 MetroBoards that I love. 2 old gen 15 mile range boards and 2 new gens. One is a 10-mile 33" shortboard and the other is a 41" longboard that has 40 miles in *true* range, even wehn riding at top speed, stopping, going. So imagine if you dropped down the speed of the board (something like ECO), then see how many miles you could go!! Its my best daily work commuter for sure. And all of these boards ride as you'd expect them to, not doing something stupid and if there's any type issue detected, the board will warn you with an audible alert and safely bring you to a stop if control is severed. MetroBoard has also always been there if I had any questions and even when I was doing things that were not supported such as riding the MetroBoard in the rain. Heavy rain. I exchanged questions back and forth with Ilan who owns MetroBoard and he was guiding me the entire way through so that I'd have the best experience and that I'd do it right! I even shorted / blew out my front LED lights since I managed to get some water in them from my experiment. MetroBoard installs two 4-watt blue LEDs in the front and two 4-watt red LEDs for the back. I sent a message to Ilan telling him that I broke the LED/blew it out from riding in the rain, which I saw water got to them. I was ready to buy a set and Ilan said don't worry about it, I'll send you out a set free of charge. That's what I like, seeing excellent customer service and a company that fully stands behind their product with their support.

Sounds like you had a good experience with your Boosted board, did you?

Also when did you buy/receive your GT? Its good to track this to see if Evolve ever gets their act together to resolve the reported customer facing problems. I received my CGT at the end of Nov '16.
