So we still need to decide on Whatsapp vs Telegram though so we stop clogging up this thread. What's the final call lads?

If you ever want a street setup I've got a new in packet set of the evolve 83mm wheels cause I bought the 97mm 75a. If you want them let me know we'll work something out although I'll admit the reason I'll never use them is because the thought of hitting a small stone on them is terrifying. 97s easily roll over small dogs.

Ha im the same with FB. I joined it when it first came out (and was invite only). Spent too much of my life on there and have been off it for years now. I just registered an account which has nothing on it to join the group.

Will definitely post here too when we organise a meetup.

I was worried about the fuzz too but from all accounts you would have to be doing something to get their attention, or they having a bad day i guess. Or if you pranged into someone.. etc. Personally i cant see the difference between eboarding and cycling, maybe the govt will catch up eventually, especially if the mandate is to remove cars from the city and be healthy etc. A cyclist doing 50kmh down a footpath is pretty dangerous yet encouraged...

Haha yeah i ran into one of those "footpath closed" A frame signs yesterday. The AT's just pushed it out of the way.

I would be posting from hospital if i was on street setup :)

I only know about telegram, but i dont think it has a webpage type thing, its more of a chat thing with multiple people in the group.

We could ask Alex to setup a section on this forum for us to organise stuff? Maybe?

Yeah, we just need to decide on a messaging app, the issue is you (dronus) use Telegram and Spanyardo uses Whatsapp. We need a game of rock-paper-scissors to decide on one. I don't use either so I'm cool with trying either one. Shall we say Bri has the deciding vote?

I'm pretty sure it works off phone numbers. You need to add a contact to your phone them you can invite them to a group I think. I travel a lot for work so I'm probably not the best to run the group if someone wants to put their hand up we can PM our numbers to them

Whatsapp it is then... It's pretty easy to invite people to a group once you have mobile numbers. Spanyardo, I'm thinking of getting the 97mm wheels as a nice balance between the 83mm and ATs. Do they use the same drive gears as the Evolve 83mm wheels? I've not had any stacks riding the street wheels but it does feel a bit sketchy sometimes along Linear Park when there are a lot of fallen branches. Any good ideas on where to go for the group ride?

Yeah it seems to run off mobile number, you are correct. So does telegram.

Yep - same drive gears it's exactly what I did. I'm not sure where to go for a street ride but if it's AT then I'll have some good suggestions.

    Hey guys,

By all means use this thread, that's the whole point of this site :)

Would you be interested in having your own group or subforum if I started adding extra sections for local areas?

Okay cool, I'll have a look into it later today.

Having local sub forums may tie in nicely with a custom upgrade that's being worked on at this very moment for the events system.

I'm quite excited about it, it should make it a piece if cake to send an invite to anyone located on the map close to the event location in just a few clicks :)

Ripping around a local park this fine afternoon.

Nearly ran into a tree which stepped out in front of me.

Then I got attacked by ants while taking that photo.

Then I out ran a swarm of bees in fast mode.

Got a new set of wrist gaurds.. these have the protection on top and under which are designed to stop your hands from snapping off (which sounds painful).

Also balanced the wheels using stick on weights. I'm not convinced I have it perfect so I'll have another look.

Daklinic have abec 11's on order if anyone is looking for some.

    Was a good day..
