    Hey Lads,

I'm trying to work out if I can make a CGT battery fit in my BGT, I was hoping someone could post up the dimensions of a CGT battery and if possible let me know how many cells make up the pack?

    Cheers,

Its a 10s4p battery so it would be 40 cells. The Bamboo GT has a 10s3p battery. I highly doubt it will, you would have to make a custom plastic enclosure.

Actually the battery should be 10 prismatic cells in series. They're not 18650's.

Well, I hope I'm wrong. I definitely want to make a custom 18650 pack once these batteries die. They sag a little too much for my liking.

    LiFePO4 Batteries in Evolve GT?

I had an entire discussion about this exact topic. I think you'll enjoy it.

The original battery inside the Carbon GT is not made of 18650 cells. They are 10 prismatic cells in series like jpark13b said. No name on it...

Woah wtf. Does that mean I can't make a 10s4p pack out of Samsung 25R for my Carbon GT?

Yes you can. It doesn't matter how many cells are in parallel. Cells in parallel balance each other. You only need a balancer cable per each cell pack in series

What's the biggest pack (+BMS) that would work in the Carbon GT?

    WARNING!

Information in this post may be incorrect and dangerous if used in a build.

    The resulting board caught fire.

Further information can be found here.

50 cells, depending on the diameter of the cell type. Not every 18650 is exactly 18mm. LG HG2 fits in my board with very precise stacking of the cells

You're saying 50 cells (10s5p) pack could fit in this blue packaging with the BMS?

No of course not :D But it fits in the board

How would it fit the board then? Are you suggesting removing the ESC? Because the only thing I want tot replace is the battery-nothing else.

He is suggesting getting rid of the free space between the BMS and the motor controller. Then you can fit 50, trust me I have seen it ;)

Dude I must be a total idiot. I'm so genuinely confused. If I try to match the current blue packaging, people have told me that I could fit a 10s4p battery (40 cells). From what I know, the space between the ESC and BMS is only enough to fit 2 more cells. Where am I going wrong?

Absolutely! But for reference the Samsung 25R cell is 18.22mm x 64.80mm. 18.22*25 is 455.5 ~ 456. Do you think even with using 456mm (which would be brushing up against the red connector), there would enough place for the BMS and wires? I feel like the wires would be crushed. Sorry for the questions, I really appreciate your help!
