    Thank you very much!

I painted it. I think I'm going to put some clear grip over it to help preserve it.

You could get some blue rear wheels and red front wheels to complete the gradient effect.

    Thanks for the compliment.

It was pretty easy. I used acrylic paints. The red part took a little longer as I put it down completely opaque and therefore had to paint around the original Evolve design. The other colors are somewhat translucent even though they don't really appear to be. Just get the colors you like and blend into the next color when you want the gradient change. Just use a about a 1" wide brush for the feathering.

When you're finished, I recommend letting it cure for about 48 hours. The acrylic becomes very durable the longer you let it dry.

Once finished I went back with a Sharpie on the black Evolve portion.

I originally put clear grip tape over it to preserve it, but it completely ruined the explosion of color and I decided not to use it.

It has held up very well.

    Cheers

    Hi Zerofuhks,

Actually, it's doing very well considering that there is no protection on it what-so-ever. The curvature of the board helps with this a bit. The very edges have slight wear, but because it's so small, it's not really noticeable.

Let me put it this way. It's not worth going to the trouble to put a nice paint job on the board and then cover it with the translucent/clear grip tape. It simply detracts WAY too much from the paint job. I'd rather have to do slight touchup (which I have not done yet) than do a paint job and make it almost a waste by the way the "frosting effect" ruins it.

I'll get a photo as soon as I can.

    Take care,

    Mitch

It has held up well. It's slightly worn around the board where the edge/lip curves up slightly, but overall it has held up very well. I never did put a clear grip tape over it. Well, I did at first, but you could barely see the paint job. Once I pulled it off, I had to do a lot of touch up. It has no worn spots at all within the painting itself.

I'm surprised how well it has held. I'll try and get a photo of it later on to upload.

    Thanks for asking!

    Mitch
