    Hi guys.
I'm gonna buy a Bamboo GT street at the end of the week.
    But... I can't chose the wheels... Evolve stock 83mm wheels ? Orangatang Kegel 80mm ? Abec 11 83mm ? Maybe 97mm ?
I'll commute everyday on flat roads with a few little hills...
I was about to chose Orangatang as I've read lots of good reviews. And I really like the look of those orange wheels, the touch of fun on the board... But the stock 76a seem so smooth... Yikes !!
    Thanks for any help !
Sorry for my poor english, I'm not fluent...as I'm french !

97's. You can roll over a lot of things... Like half AT but with none of the downsides!

97 mm for sure, you may also want to consider the 38 tooth reduction gearing especially if you are large.

Thank you both. Just surprised I never see eBoards with these wheels...

the larger the amount of teeth, the more torque you get, but you trade off some top speed. You can buy something like the 38T gear, but honestly you don't need it

I have stock 2-in-1 setup. when I swap, it seems like belt size is pretty precise. can you put the 38t (AT setup) on the 97mms?

38T are not AT, they are larger street.

You can. If you had a Gen2 you really do want 38T. With a GT I don't know if it matters (I only have 38T so cannot compare).

38T belt sizes are different too.

Lower level boards typically don't have them available (97mm wheels), they don't have enough torque and/or battery capacity to handle it. It takes off from your acceleration and range some, and they can't afford that. Some eboards have hub motors, you're then commited to that particular wheel which I don't like. In the DIY community, 97s are always an option and the goto wheel. All my eBoards had the option for 97mm wheels, but they're all higher end boards and don't have hub motors.

Ok, seems 97s be a very good choice for my future Bamboo. Thanks folks !

  14. Whats the deal with getting 97's now?
ABEC 11's don't make them anymore apparently, and I can't find any others that aren't absolute dogshit..

I think I read something about Evolve making some 97mm clones in the near future...

  16. Shame Evolves current 83mm wheels are crap too..
Anyone else had major issues with them?

Thanks, really, to all of you.
Little problem : the price. + €80 to change the stock wheels with Abec 11 97mm. Too expensive for me. Think I'll have to choose others...

97mm all the way! By far the best ride super smooth and carve really well

    Thanks!
